The Ecole d'Avignon is a heritage rehabilitation training centre. Its area of intervention is the built heritage – architecture, trades, materials – its conservation and its rehabilitation. It has positioned itself as a resource centre specialised in:
- Educational advice
- Training for rehabilitation professionals: short term proficiency courses or thematic courses on site in Avignon or elsewhere in France and Europe
- Studies and publications such as: Techniques et pratique de la chaux or Traditional Mediterranean architecture
- Consulting services for local authorities and other representatives working on the architectural heritage: advice concerning project design and execution
- Management of European projects and the building of networks
The Ecole d'Avignon is developing international activities with UNESCO, ICOMOS and the Council of Europe. It has also participated in a number of European programmes:
